FASHIONING IDENTITIES : HOW TO BE NIGERIAN IN MULTICULTURAL BRITAIN

This is a celebration of British-Nigerian life and creativity. A cultural initiative rooted in family archives, community memory, and the ways identity is shaped through dress. This is a space for us to see ourselves - clearly, confidently, and on our own terms.

The Exhibition

Fashioning Identities: How to be Nigerian in Multicultural Britain is a landmark showcase of garments, stories, and sounds that trace British-Nigerian identity across generations. It’s a space to honour and celebrate our heritage, as new expressions of style and identity continue to emerge.

The Gala

It’s a party - and a fundraising and launch event bringing together the British-Nigerian community and friends to support the exhibition and its future.

The Archive

A digital and physical archive built from stories, images, and clothing shared by our community. It captures the textures of everyday life, and gathers them into a living cultural record.
